People of all abilities Access the Arts through Seven Hills Foundation and Affiliates

The time to tee it up for the Annual Lori Lajoie Charity Golf Tournament is fast approaching—August 15.
Now in its 44th year, the Lajoie Tournament benefits Seven Hills Foundation, Worcester’s largest provider of programs for people with developmental disabilities and other life challenges in Central Massachusetts.

The Lajoie Tournament is a WCC tradition and our signature charitable event. Last year, Members raised a record high of $500,000 for this life-changing cause. $228,000 of the funds raised was specifically designated for The Ray and Coco Lajoie Center for Children, which was dedicated on May 30, to honor Ray and Coco’s legacy.

Thanks to your generosity, the Center, which is located in the heart of Worcester, supports children and adoptive families served through Children’s Friend, an affiliate of Seven Hills.
This year’s tournament will support Access to the Arts for All. Seven Hills Foundation and its affiliates have commenced an initiative to provide access to Creative and Therapeutic Arts to its diverse population of children and adults with disabilities, brain injury, or significant life challenges. The power of creative expression through art, dance, drama, music, and writing is shown to improve mental, emotional, and physical well being.

Through the arts programs at Seven Hills ASPiRE!, VSA Massachusetts, the Family Support Centers, and others, individuals gain communication skills, problem-solving skills, social and emotional skills, self-expression, creativity, and a sense of community connection. Let’s keep up the momentum—we have the unique opportunity to support the Therapeutic Arts initiative that will greatly impact the people in our community who benefit from Seven Hills’ programming.

Help ensure these programs continue to provide Access to the Arts and honor the tradition of the Lori Lajoie Charity Golf Tournament by donating today.
